Islam

When I started this blog, I wanted to be able to show all the sides of me. I don't fit neatly into any one category.(Which should be obvious by now) I think outside of the box. Hell forget the box, it's more like a triangle inside a circle inside a rectangle.

A brief history on me. I converted to Islam at the age of 17. I've been a practicing muslimah ever since. In 1998, I began wearing hijab and do so to this day. When I am overseas I wear a niqab (full face veil); not out of force but because I like the anonymity it allows me to have. In the village we lived I was one of only two other women who wore the face veil. It's not as common as most people think it is.

I don't really have muslim friends because most don't agree with my views on the majority of things. And I'm totally ok with that. People don't have to agree with me. I love having good discussions but I hate debating. My goal is not to convert you and I appreciate the same in return.

If you're a convert looking for good English Islamic books, I highly recommend checking out Wilayat Mission.
